Prosnil Plus Tablet 10

Prosnil Plus Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of moderate to severe benign prostatic hyperplasia

• Management of enlarged prostate gland

• Improving urinary flow in men with BPH

• Reducing difficulty in starting urination

• Decreasing frequent urination problems

• Lessening the urgent need to urinate

• Reducing nighttime urination

• Prevention of acute urinary retention

• Reducing the risk of BPH-related surgery

• Relief from the incomplete bladder emptying sensation

Follow these instructions while taking Prosnil Plus Tablet 10:

• Take the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Take it approximately 30 minutes after the same meal each day.

• Do not chew, crush, or open the capsule.

• If you miss a dose, take the next dose as usual.

• Keep the medicine in its original container, tightly closed.

• Store at room temperature away from moisture and light.

Prosnil Plus Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Prosnil Plus Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Tamsulosin (0.4 mg): This alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck. This relaxation makes it easier to urinate by reducing resistance to urine flow and improving the urine stream.

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): This component is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that blocks the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is the primary androgen responsible for prostate growth, and by reducing its levels, dutasteride helps shrink the enlarged prostate and improve BPH symptoms.

• Store Prosnil Plus Tablet 10 at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Keep in the original container, tightly closed.

• Protect from light and moisture.

• Store in a safe place out of reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Limit evening fluids: Reduce your fluid intake in the evening hours to help minimise night-time urination (nocturia), a common symptom of benign prostatic hyperplasia.

• Maintain regular toilet habits: Try to empty your bladder completely each time you urinate to reduce the feeling of incomplete bladder emptying associated with prostate enlargement.
