Prolosin 0.4 MG Tablet 10 is used to manage the symptoms of an enlarged prostate, a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), in adult men. It helps relieve urinary difficulties such as a weak stream, dribbling and a frequent or urgent need to pass urine, especially at night, improving bladder emptying.
It contains tamsulosin, which belongs to the alpha-blocker group of medicines. Take it preferably after the same meal each day, as prescribed. It eases symptoms without changing the size of the prostate.
Rising slowly from sitting or lying down helps reduce dizziness alongside this medicine, particularly when you first start it. Reducing fluids in the late evening may help with night-time urination.
Tell your doctor about any low blood pressure, or planned cataract or other eye surgery, before starting, and about other medicines you take. Report fainting or marked dizziness.
