CompositionPANTOP 20 Tablet is used to treat acid-related stomach issues, including gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It contains pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor.
Pantoprazole works by blocking the acid-producing pumps in the stomach lining, cutting down the amount of acid the stomach produces, which relieves symptoms and allows irritated tissue in the stomach and food pipe to heal.
Take this tablet daily, generally before breakfast, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and continue for the duration advised even if your symptoms improve early.
Long-term use can affect magnesium and vitamin B12 levels, so tell your doctor if you notice unusual tiredness, muscle cramps or tingling. Tell your doctor if you have liver disease before starting this medicine.
