Pantocid 20 Tablet interacts with the following medicines:

• Antiretroviral Medicines: Antiretroviral medications like atazanavir and nelfinavir can have their absorption reduced when taken with Pantocid 20 Tablet. Avoid co-administration.

• Coumarin Anticoagulants: The effect of blood thinners such as warfarin may be influenced by Pantocid 20 Tablet, possibly requiring monitoring of prothrombin time/INR.

• Methotrexate: Taking Pantocid 20 Tablet alongside high-dose methotrexate such as Maxtrex or Methofill may increase and prolong serum concentrations of methotrexate or its metabolite, potentially leading to toxicity.

Pantocid 20 Tablet do not have any known significant interactions with food. Nonetheless, it's always a good idea to take the medicine as directed by the doctor.

Pantocid 20 Tablet interacts with the following diseases:

• Gastric Malignancy: Symptomatic response to Pantocid 20 Tablet does not rule out the presence of gastric cancer. Further follow-up and diagnostic testing may be necessary.

• Acute Interstitial Nephritis: This kidney condition has been observed in patients taking proton pump inhibitors like Pantocid 20 Tablet. If this occurs, stop using the Pantocid 20 Tablet.

• Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhoea: The use of proton pump inhibitors may be associated with an increased risk of this type of diarrhoea, especially among hospitalised patients.

• Bone Fracture: Long-term and high-dose use of proton pump inhibitors may be linked to an increased risk of fractures related to osteoporosis, affecting areas like the hip, wrist, or spine.

• Vitamin B12 Deficiency: Daily long-term use of proton pump inhibitors like Pantocid 20 Tablet may lead to malabsorption of vitamin B12. Monitor vitamin B12 levels in these patients.

• Hypomagnesemia: Low serum magnesium levels have been reported rarely with prolonged use of proton pump inhibitors. Obtain serum magnesium levels in long-term therapy patients who develop hypomagnesemia symptoms.
