Novastat-Ez 20 Tablet is utilised for the following:

• Management of primary hyperlipidemia is characterised by high levels of cholesterol and triglycerides
• Intervention in mixed dyslipidemia when lifestyle changes and single-agent therapy are insufficient
• Minimising the risk of cardiovascular incidents such as heart attack and stroke in patients with previous heart disease or multiple risk factors

Here is how to take Novastat-Ez 20 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing, breaking, or chewing the tablet.
• Do not stop taking the medicine or alter your dose without consulting your doctor.

Novastat-Ez 20 Tablet is taken orally.

Novastat-Ez 20 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Rosuvastatin (20 mg): This ingredient is part of the statin class of medications. Rosuvastatin works by blocking an enzyme in your liver called HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme plays a key role in producing cholesterol. By inhibiting this, rosuvastatin reduces the production of LDL or "bad" cholesterol in your body. It also aids in increasing the uptake and breakdown of existing LDL cholesterol in your bloodstream.
• Ezetimibe (10 mg): Belonging to the cholesterol absorption inhibitors category, Ezetimibe functions in the small intestine. It selectively prevents the absorption of dietary and biliary cholesterol without affecting the absorption of fat-soluble nutrients. This leads to less cholesterol being delivered to the liver, thereby reducing liver cholesterol stores and promoting cholesterol clearance from the blood.

• Keep your Novastat-Ez 20 Tablet in a tightly closed container.
• Store it at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.
• Avoid exposing the tablet to light or moisture.
