Nicomnol 2 Tablet 10 is used to prevent and treat blood clots in the veins and lungs, to reduce the risk of stroke in atrial fibrillation, and to prevent clots in people with artificial heart valves or high clot risk.

Uses of Nicomnol 2 Tablet 10 are:

• DVT and Pulmonary Embolism: Prevents and treats dangerous blood clots in the veins and lungs.
• Stroke Prevention: Reduces the risk of stroke in atrial fibrillation.
• Valve and Clot Prevention: Helps prevent clots in people with artificial heart valves.

Follow these instructions while taking Nicomnol 2 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

• Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Nicomnol 2 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Nicomnol 2 Tablet 10 contains nicoumalone (2 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Vitamin K Antagonist: Nicoumalone acts by blocking the action of vitamin K, which is essential for the production of certain clotting factors in your liver.

• Clotting Factor Inhibition: It specifically inhibits the production of clotting factors II, VII, IX, and X, which are proteins that play a crucial role in blood clot formation.

• Prolonged Clotting Time: By reducing the levels of these important clotting proteins, nicoumalone effectively prolongs the time it takes for your blood to clot.
