Nicip P Tablet 10

Nicip-P Tablet is used in adults to relieve acute pain and reduce fever in a range of everyday and long-term painful conditions affecting the muscles, joints, teeth, and head.

Uses of Nicip-P Tablet are:

• Acute Pain Relief: Relieves headache, toothache, earache, and menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea).
• Joint and Muscle Pain: Helps manage pain from osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
• Fever and General Pain: Helps reduce fever and provides relief from mild to moderate pain.

Here are some general guidelines on how to take Nicip-P Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient amount of water.
• Do not break or crush the tablet.
• It is advisable to take the tablet after eating food to minimise any gastric discomfort.
• Ensure you follow your doctor's advice on the frequency and timing of taking this medicine.

Nicip-P Tablet is taken orally.

Nicip-P Tablet contains two active components:

• Nimesulide (100 mg): As an NSAID, this ingredient works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes COX-1 and COX-2. This action reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins - chemical mediators known for causing pain, inflammation and fever. By blocking prostaglandin production, nimesulide decreases pain and inflammation.
• Paracetamol (325 mg): This component acts centrally and raises the pain threshold, thereby exerting an analgesic effect. It also acts on the hypothalamus heat regulating center to reduce fever through its antipyretic properties.

These two ingredients work together in Nicip-P Tablets to provide enhanced pain relief and reduce inflammation and fever through their different modes of action.
