Dosage Forms Available

• Nimesulide + Paracetamol/Acetaminophen can be taken orally (tablet and suspension).

Age And Dose Restrictions 

• This combination is intended to be used by adults and children above 12 years. 

Contraindications 

• This combination is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to nimesulide or paracetamol/acetaminophen. It is also contraindicated in patients with active or a history of recurrent peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding or other bleeding disorders. 

Medications To Avoid With This Drug

• Avoid taking gastric acid reducers (cimetidine), antacids (aluminium hydroxide), antiarrhythmics (digoxin), diuretics (furosemide), anticoagulants (warfarin), immunosuppressive medications (methotrexate), cholesterol-lowering medications (cholestyramine), prokinetic agents (metoclopramide and domperidone), and anticonvulsants (carbamazepine). These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of Nimesulide + Paracetamol/Acetaminophen.

Overdose And Missed Dose

• Taking more than the prescribed dose may cause nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, abdominal pain, or, in severe cases, liver damage. If you suspect an overdose, seek emergency medical attention immediately, as prompt treatment can help prevent serious complications.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.

Management Of Side Effects

• Take this combination with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects and continue taking it as prescribed. If side effects worsen or persist, consult your doctor for a possible treatment plan adjustment.

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

• This combination can make you feel dizzy. It is not recommended to drive, operate machinery, or do other activities that require mental alertness or coordination after taking this combination. 

Use In Pregnancy And Lactation

• This combination is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Caution In Other Conditions

• Caution is advised in older adults and patients with heart conditions, severe coagulation disorders and kidney and liver impairment.

• Avoid alcohol consumption, as it may increase the risk of adverse side effects.
• Take this combination only for the prescribed duration.
• Excess weight can put a strain on joints and exacerbate osteoarthritis pain. Aim to maintain a healthy weight through a balanced diet and regular exercise.
• You may apply a warm compress or ice pack to affected areas to relieve muscle pains.
• Choose comfortable, supportive shoes to minimise the impact on joints and muscles.
