Nexpro L Capsule 10

Nexpro L Capsule is used to manage acid-related digestive disorders such as GERD and peptic ulcers. By lowering stomach acid levels, it improves digestive movement, relieves heartburn, and eases upper abdominal discomfort. It also may help support the healing of the stomach lining, providing relief from acid-related issues.

Follow the directions given by your pharmacist or doctor for using Nexpro L capsules. In case you do not have one, you can follow the below general directions.  

• Take the capsule with one whole glass of water
• Swallow the capsule as a whole, do not crush or chew it.
• Take the capsule at fixed times each day to maintain a consistent level of medication. 

• Nexpro L capsule should be administered orally.

• Esomeprazole: Nexpro L contains esomeprazole. It is an inactive form of medicine that is converted into an active form upon entering the acidic environment of the stomach. After conversion to the active form, it inhibits a protein which is responsible for acid production. This inhibition of acid production reduces symptoms of GERD. 
• Levosulpiride: Nexpro L contains Levosulpiride, which helps improve digestion by promoting gastric motility and facilitating the movement of food through the digestive system. It exerts dual medicinal actions at two different sites: the D2 site and the 5HT-4 site, where it decreases the action of dopamine and increases the action of serotonin. These actions help control body movements and regulate digestive functions.

• Store Nexpro L capsules below 25-30 ºC. 
• Protect it from light and moisture. 
• Keep Nexpro L capsule away from the sight and reach of children. 
• Do not use the medication once the expiry date has passed.

• Eat smaller portions of food.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption, as alcohol can stimulate increased production of stomach acid, which leads to heartburn and stomach pain.
• Avoid intake of high-fat content foods, spicy foods, chocolates, citrus fruits, tomato, pineapple, garlic, tea and onions.
• Practise yoga and meditation for mind and body relaxation.
• Lead a stress-free life.
• Avoid lying down after eating food as it may lead to reflux of food content. 
• Exercise regularly as it helps in maintaining a healthy weight.
• Avoid tight-fitting clothes as they may trigger the backward flow of food from the stomach.
• Avoid sitting continuously in one position and take a 5-minute break every 60 minutes. 
• Do brisk walking periodically when sitting for long periods of time.

• Nexpro L is used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease and peptic ulcer. 
• Take only the prescribed dose as per the instructions given by the doctor.
• Take it one hour before a meal, preferably on an empty stomach.
• It is a well-tolerated medicine and is indicated for long-term treatment. 
• Abstain from alcohol while taking Nexpro L as it may lead to stomach damage due to increased acid production.
• Long-term use of this medication may cause weak bones. Take vitamin D supplement while taking Nexpro L with doctors guidance to prevent weak bones.
