Momate Ointment 15gm

Momate Ointment is used to treat various skin conditions including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, scalp psoriasis, and seborrheic dermatitis. It alleviates redness, itching, scaling, and inflammation, providing soothing relief and improving the condition of affected skin areas.

Apply Momate Ointment as follows:

• Ensure that the affected skin area is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin film of the ointment to the affected area as advised by the doctor.

• Gently massage the ointment into the skin until it is fully absorbed.

• Wash your hands thoroughly after each application to prevent spreading to other areas or individuals.

Momate Ointment is applied topically.

Momate Ointment contains Mometasone (0.1 %), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Inflammation Reduction: Mometasone suppresses the release of inflammatory mediators and cytokines - substances that trigger inflammation in your body, leading to symptoms like redness and swelling.

• Itchiness Relief: By controlling the production of these substances, Mometasone also mitigates itchiness associated with inflammatory skin conditions.

• Vasoconstriction: This medicine also induces vasoconstriction or narrowing of blood vessels in the affected areas. This effect helps decrease redness and swelling on your skin.

• Keep Momate Ointment in a cool and dry place, ideally at a temperature between 20° to 25°C.

• Protect the ointment from direct light.

• Safeguard it from kids' reach.

• For skin conditions like psoriasis or atopic dermatitis, try to include foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as flaxseeds, walnuts, and oily fish in your diet. These could help manage inflammation.

• Avoid scratching or rubbing the areas where you apply Momate Ointment. This can worsen the condition and cause further skin damage. Always keep your nails short and clean to avoid infections.
