CompositionMomate Ointment is used to treat inflammatory and itchy skin conditions. It contains mometasone furoate, a corticosteroid, and helps reduce redness, swelling and itching associated with eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis and seborrhoeic dermatitis.
Mometasone furoate works by calming the overactive local immune response in the skin, which reduces inflammation, redness, swelling and itching in a range of inflammatory skin conditions.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area, usually once daily as your doctor advises, and use only for the recommended period, since prolonged use of a steroid-containing ointment can thin the skin.
Avoid using on the face, groin or underarms for extended periods unless specifically directed. Tell your doctor if the skin does not improve, or if you notice thinning, stretch marks or unusual changes in the treated area.
