Megazolid 100 Suspension Megazolid 100 Suspension is used to treat serious and antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections in children, such as severe pneumonia and complex skin and soft tissue infections, including infections caused by vancomycin-resistant bacteria that do not respond to standard antibiotics.
It contains linezolid, an oxazolidinone antibiotic. Measure the dose carefully using the device provided, as prescribed by your child's paediatrician, and shake the suspension well before use. Continue giving the full course, even if your child starts to feel better.
While using this medicine, avoid giving your child large amounts of tyramine-rich foods, such as aged cheese, cured meats, or soy sauce, as this combination can cause a sudden rise in blood pressure.
Before starting this medicine, tell your child's doctor about any other medicines your child is taking, particularly antidepressants, due to a risk of interaction. Consult your child's doctor if you notice any changes in your child's vision, persistent diarrhoea, or unusual bruising during treatment.
