Losar-A Tablet is used in adults to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). It is usually prescribed when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with a single medicine.

Losar-A Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure:

• Losartan (50 mg): As an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), Losartan prevents a substance called angiotensin II from binding to its receptors in your body. Angiotensin II normally causes blood vessels to tighten; when blocked by Losartan, your blood vessels relax and widen, reducing resistance and lowering blood pressure.

The combined effect of Amlodipine and Losartan results in a greater reduction in blood pressure compared to taking either ingredient alone.
