Empahope L 25 Tablet 10 is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults alongside diet and exercise. It is a combination medicine containing empagliflozin (an SGLT2 inhibitor) and linagliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor).
It can also help reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adults with heart disease. It is not for type 1 diabetes. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and stay well hydrated.
Eat controlled portions of rice, roti and sweets, stay physically active and keep the genital area clean and dry.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, repeated genital or urinary infections or a history of pancreatitis, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Seek urgent help for nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, severe tiredness or difficulty breathing, as this class can rarely cause diabetic ketoacidosis. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
