Ibugesic Plus Oral Suspension consists of two active ingredients:

• Ibuprofen (100 mg): As a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), ibuprofen works by inhibiting an enzyme called cyclooxygenase (COX). This prevents the formation of prostaglandins chemical messengers that contribute to pain, inflammation, and fever. Its properties of reducing pain, inflammation and fever are mainly due to the inhibition of COX-2.
• Paracetamol (162.5 mg): Known as an analgesic and antipyretic with weak anti-inflammatory properties, paracetamol's action mechanism isn't fully understood. However, it's thought to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis in the brain and peripheral nervous system. Additionally, it may interact with other pathways in the brain like serotonergic and opioid routes.

The action of ibuprofen and paracetamol together results in a more effective and longer relief from pain and fever than either medicine would provide on its own.
