GLYCINORM 80 TABLET 15 is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet and physical activity alone do not control blood sugar. It contains gliclazide, a sulfonylurea that helps the pancreas release more insulin, lowering and maintaining stable blood sugar levels.
Take this tablet by mouth, usually with breakfast, as prescribed. Continue taking it regularly, even if you feel well, as stopping suddenly can cause blood sugar to rise again and increase long-term complication risk.
Following a controlled-carbohydrate diet, eating meals at regular times, staying active and monitoring blood glucose regularly all help support blood sugar control. Carry a source of fast-acting sugar in case of low blood sugar.
Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, or a history of low blood sugar, before starting this medicine. Report symptoms of low blood sugar such as sweating, shakiness, confusion or hunger to your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
