Glura M 500 Tablet is a medicine used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It combines two medicines that work together to help lower blood sugar levels.
It contains metformin, which reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, and sitagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases insulin release from the pancreas. Take it as prescribed, with food, to help reduce stomach upset. Continue taking it regularly to help control both fasting and after-meal blood sugar levels through the day.
Eating balanced meals at regular times, staying physically active and maintaining a healthy weight can help support blood sugar control alongside this medicine. Limiting sugary foods and alcohol is also recommended.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, or other medicines you are taking. Contact your doctor if you notice signs of low blood sugar, such as sweating, shakiness or hunger, or if you develop severe stomach pain. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
