Fosfozyme 3 Powder 8gm

Fosfozyme 3 Powder 8gm is used in the following conditions:

• Treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infections such as acute cystitis: It is the inflammation of the bladder due to bacterial infection. It predominantly affects women. It causes frequent urge to urinate, pain or burning sensation during urination, cloudy or strong-smelling urine, along with possible lower abdominal pain. This powder stops bacterial synthesis, relieving these symptoms of bladder infection.

• Fosfozyme 3 Powder 8gm can be taken with or without food.
• Pour the entire contents of Fosirol powder into a glass of water (90-120 ml) 
• Stir to dissolve it completely.
• Do not use hot water
• Take it immediately after dissolving in water.
• Do not store the medication.

Fosfozyme 3 Powder 8gm is taken orally.

Fosfozyme 3 Powder 8gm contains the following component:

• Fosfomycin (3 gm): It is a synthetic, broad-spectrum, bactericidal antibiotic that inhibits the formation of enzymes involved in the early stages of bacterial wall synthesis. By blocking this enzyme, fosfomycin disrupts the formation of bacterial cell wall. This disruption weakens the bacterial cell wall structure, making it more susceptible to damage and ultimately leading to the death of the bacteria.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 25 ºC.
• Keep Fosfozyme 3 Powder 8gm away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Drink plenty of water throughout the day to help flush bacteria out from the urinary tract.
• Take cranberry juice or cranberry supplements. These are known to prevent UTIs by interfering with the adhesion of bacteria to the urinary tract lining. 
• Limit or avoid potential irritants such as caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods, and artificial sweeteners, as they may exacerbate UTI symptoms.
• Do not hold urine for extended periods. It can allow bacteria to multiply in the urinary tract. Urinate when you feel the urge to do so.
• Urinate before and after sexual activity. It will help flush out bacteria that may have entered the urethra during intercourse.
• Avoid using harsh soaps, douches, or hygiene sprays that can disrupt the natural balance of bacteria in the genital area.
