Eritel CH 6.25 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of high blood pressure
• Reduction in the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke in hypertensive patients
• Decrease in excess fluid retention or oedema caused by heart failure
• Alleviation of fluid overload due to liver cirrhosis
• Management of swelling and breathing difficulties caused by kidney disorders

Here are the instructions for taking Eritel CH 6.25 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient amount of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• The medicine can be taken with or without food.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose unless advised by your doctor.
• Always remember to consult your doctor before discontinuing this medicine.

Eritel CH 6.25 Tablet is taken orally.

Eritel CH 6.25 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This is an ARB that blocks the effects of a substance called angiotensin II in your body. Angiotensin II usually narrows your blood vessels and releases a hormone that can increase the amount of sodium and water in your body. By blocking these actions, telmisartan helps widen your blood vessels and reduce fluid buildup, which can lower your blood pressure.
• Chlorthalidone (6.25 mg): This component is a diuretic that works on part of your kidneys called the distal renal tubules. It stops these tubules from absorbing too much sodium and chloride, which leads to more sodium, chloride, and water being removed from your body through urine. Decreasing blood volume like this also helps reduce your blood pressure.

The combined effect of telmisartan and chlorthalidone provides a complementary approach to managing high blood pressure and reducing the risk of related cardiovascular problems.
