Candid V6 Mucoadhesive Vaginal Tablet is used to treat vaginal yeast infection (vaginal thrush or candidiasis). It is a single-ingredient medicine containing clotrimazole 100mg, which belongs to a class of medicines called azole antifungals.

This medicine helps relieve itching, burning, soreness and a thick white vaginal discharge. The tablet sticks to the lining of the vagina so the medicine stays in place. Insert one tablet high into the vagina, usually at bedtime, for the number of nights prescribed by your doctor, and complete the full course even if symptoms improve early.

Wearing loose cotton underwear, keeping the genital area clean and dry, and avoiding douching and scented soaps or sprays can support healing and help prevent the infection returning.

This medicine is for vaginal use only; do not swallow it. Before using it, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have unusual bleeding, sores or a foul-smelling discharge, or have had repeated infections, and about other medicines you use. It may damage latex condoms and diaphragms, so use another method of contraception during treatment. Contact your doctor if symptoms do not improve within a week.
