Candid Ear Drops 10ml

Candid Ear Drops are used to treat fungal ear infections, commonly known as otomycosis. These drops effectively target fungal pathogens like Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans, relieving symptoms such as itching, pain, and inflammation, while preventing further fungal growth in the ear canal.

• Hold the bottle in your hand for one or two minutes to warm the solution. Shake the bottle well.
• Gently squeeze the bottle and instil 4 to 5 drops of solution in the ear. 
• Press the skin flap in the ear and lie down for 60 seconds to let the medication enter the ear canal.
• Repeat the steps for another ear if it is also infected. Tighten the bottle cap after use.

Candid Ear Drops are meant for otic use only.

Candid Ear Drops contain the following components:

• Clotrimazole (1% w/v): It is an antifungal agent that stops the growth and spread of fungi, which helps to treat fungal infections in the ear. Clotrimazole helps eliminate the infection by inhibiting fungi growth. It relieves associated symptoms such as itching, redness, and discharge.
• Lidocaine/Lignocaine (2% w/v): It is a local anaesthetic that numbs the area where it is applied, providing temporary pain relief and reducing discomfort in the ear. By numbing the affected area, lidocaine/lignocaine helps to alleviate pain caused by the fungal infection and makes the ear more comfortable.

• The bottle should be kept upright in a cool place.
• Keep the bottle away from heat and direct sunlight.
• Refrain from keeping these drops in the refrigerator.
• When not in use, make sure the bottle is tightly closed.
• Keep the bottle away from children and pets.

• Avoid excessive moisture and ensure proper ear drying after bathing or swimming.
• Avoid using cotton swabs or inserting any objects into the ear canal, as this can potentially worsen the infection or cause damage to the ear.
• Avoid sharing personal items such as towels, headphones, or earbuds with others to prevent the spread of infection.

• Do not touch the dropper to the ear while instilling the drops.
• Candid Ear Drops are not intended for bacterial ear infections.
• Even if you start feeling better, continue with the treatment.
• Keep your infected ear clean and dry while using the drops.
