Otogesic Ear Drops 10ml

Otogesic Ear Drops are used to relieve minor ear pain, itching, and irritation in the external ear canal. Acting as a local anesthetic and antibacterial agent, they provide relief from discomfort caused by minor ear infections, inflammation, and conditions like swimmer's ear.

• Clean your hands thoroughly before using the ear drops.
• Tilt your head to the side, with the affected ear facing upwards.
• Gently pull the earlobe to straighten the ear canal.
• Hold the dropper close to the ear canal without touching it.
• Squeeze the dropper to release the prescribed number of drops into the ear canal.
• Keep your head tilted for a few minutes to allow the drops to penetrate the ear.
• Repeat the process for the other ear if necessary.

Otogesic Ear Drops are instilled topically in the ear.

The components of Otogesic Ear Drops are as follows:

• 4-Carboxymethylamino-4-Aminodiphenyl Sulphone (0.84% W/W): This compound likely acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, helping to reduce inflammation within the ear canal. Inflammation can lead to pain and discomfort, and mitigating this process helps reduce these symptoms.
• Dibucaine (1.10% W/W): Dibucaine is a local anaesthetic that works by blocking nerve signals. This medication functions as a numbing agent, temporarily reducing the sensation of pain in the ear. By numbing the sensitive tissues, it provides fast and effective pain relief.

• Store this medicine at room temperature (15-25ºC).
