Biosore Gel 10gm

Biosore Gel 10gm is used to relieve symptoms of mouth ulcers and gum irritation. It relieves pain, swelling, and inflammation while soothing the burning sensation caused by ulcers. The gel also forms a protective layer over the affected area, supporting healing and improving oral comfort for eating, drinking, and speaking.

• Ensure your hands are clean before you begin.
• Apply a small amount of the gel directly on the mouth ulcer using a clean fingertip.
• Gently dab, ensuring the ulcer surface is completely covered.
• Allow the gel to stay in contact with the ulcer for as long as possible.
• Avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes after application.

Biosore Gel 10gm works through the combined action of its three active ingredients:

• Choline Salicylate (8.7%): As an NSAID, choline salicylate blocks the production of prostaglandins – chemicals in your body that cause inflammation, pain and fever. By doing this, it reduces redness, swelling and discomfort associated with the lesion.
• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.01%): This component is a cationic surfactant that acts as a bactericidal and fungicidal preservative. It disrupts the cell membranes of microorganisms, leading to leakage of cellular contents and cell death, which helps prevent secondary bacterial or fungal infections at the ulcer site.
• Lidocaine (2%): This local anaesthetic works by blocking sodium channels in the neuronal membrane. This stabilises the membrane potential and inhibits pain signal transmission from the site of application, providing a prompt numbing effect for pain relief.

• Store Biosore Gel 10gm in a cool, dry place.
• Avoid direct sunlight and damp areas.
• Make sure to keep it out of reach of children.
• Always put the cap back on firmly after each use.

• To help manage mouth ulcers, maintain good oral hygiene. Regular brushing of teeth with a soft-bristled toothbrush and using a mild toothpaste can prevent irritation.
• Include vitamin B12-rich foods in your diet, such as dairy products or fortified cereals. A deficiency in this vitamin can increase the risk of mouth ulcers.
