Amlodac 5 Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and angina (chest pain). It contains amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that relaxes and widens blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing the heart's workload. By lowering blood pressure and preventing angina, Amlodac helps reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Whereas angina pectoris, commonly referred to as angina, is a condition characterised by chest pain or discomfort caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle. It typically occurs when there is an imbalance between the heart's oxygen demand and supply. The symptoms of angina include chest pain or discomfort, shortness of breath, fatigue, sweating and nausea and dizziness.
Amlodac 5 Tablet composition includes Amlodipine (5 MG) as its active ingredient that helps to regulate blood pressure and improve blood flow, thereby reducing the workload on the heart and enhancing cardiovascular health.
While Amlodac 5 Tablet is generally considered safe and effective, it might only suit some. Patients with severe aortic stenosis (a condition where the aortic valve of the heart is narrowed) and hypotension (low blood pressure) should not take Amlodac 5 Tablets until the doctor prescribes.
