Dexona Tablet is used to manage inflammation, allergic reactions, asthma, autoimmune disorders and severe skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and atopic dermatitis. It is also used in rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, eye inflammation and certain cancers as part of combination treatment.
It contains dexamethasone, a corticosteroid. It works by calming an overactive immune response and reducing swelling, redness and irritation.
Take it by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually with food. Do not stop it suddenly, as the dose normally needs to be reduced gradually under medical advice.
Tell your doctor about any pre-existing conditions or other medicines before starting. Long-term use can raise blood pressure and blood sugar, weaken bones and increase infection risk.
