Bempedoic Acid (180 Mg) + Ezetimibe (10 Mg)

Bemezy Tablet is used to manage cholesterol lowering. It is a combination lipid-lowering medicine containing bempedoic acid and ezetimibe.

This medicine helps reduce high LDL (bad) cholesterol and manage mixed hyperlipidaemia. It also helps lower the risk of heart attack and stroke. It also can be used alongside other cholesterol-lowering medicines, or as an alternative for people who cannot tolerate statins.

A heart-healthy diet and regular activity can support cholesterol management alongside this medicine.

Before starting, tell your doctor about your medical conditions and allergies. Tell the doctor about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report persistent or serious side effects to your doctor. Do not stop taking or using the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.

Follow these instructions while taking Bemezy Tablet:

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Take this medicine at the same time each day.
You can take this medicine with or without food.
Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet.
Continue taking this medicine even if you feel well.

Bemezy Tablet is taken orally.

Bemezy Tablet may cause some side effects that are usually mild and go away as your body adjusts to the medicine.

Respiratory: upper respiratory tract infections.

Bemezy Tablet contains two active ingredients:

Bempedoic acid (180 mg): This component inhibits an enzyme called ATP citrate lyase in the liver. Blocking this enzyme, it reduces the liver's production of cholesterol, which leads to increased removal of LDL cholesterol from the bloodstream.
Ezetimibe (10 mg): This works at the intestinal level by inhibiting the absorption of cholesterol. It specifically targets the Niemann-Pick C1-Like 1 (NPC1L1) protein, which is responsible for cholesterol uptake in the small intestine, thereby reducing the amount of cholesterol that enters your bloodstream.

Pregnancy
