Itch Guard + Cream is used for treating fungal infections on the skin and nails. It helps manage Tinea pedis (athlete's foot), provides relief from Tinea cruris (jock itch), and controls Tinea corporis (ringworm of the body).

Here's how you should use Itch Guard + Cream :

• Ensure that the affected skin area is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area and rub it in gently until it is fully absorbed.

• Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, mouth, and other mucous membranes.

• Do not apply the cream on broken or irritated skin.

• Always wash your hands thoroughly after applying the cream unless your hands are the area being treated.

Itch Guard + Cream contains terbinafine (1 %) which works on your body in the following ways:

• Squalene Epoxidase Inhibition: Terbinafine works by blocking an enzyme called squalene epoxidase in the fungus. This enzyme is crucial for making ergosterol, a main component of the fungal cell membrane.

• Disruption of Fungal Cell Membrane: By inhibiting squalene epoxidase and thereby disrupting ergosterol synthesis, terbinafine weakens the cell membrane of the fungus. This leads to the death of the fungus and subsequently resolves the infection.

• Store Itch Guard + Cream at room temperature, around 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight, extreme heat and moisture.

• Make sure to place it in an area, not within reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date before use; discard if it is past this date.

• Maintain personal hygiene: Regularly clean and dry the areas prone to fungal infections to prevent the growth of fungi.

• Wear breathable fabrics: Opting for clothes made of natural fibres like cotton can help keep your skin dry and prevent fungal infections.
