Atorva Gold 40 Capsule is used for the following:

• Prevention of heart attacks and strokes in high-risk patients

• Secondary prevention of cardiovascular events

• Management of established peripheral arterial disease

• Reduction of cardiovascular risks in diabetic patients

• Management of high cholesterol levels

• Prevention of blood clot formation

• Cardiovascular protection for smokers with multiple risk factors

• Management of elevated triglyceride levels

• Cardiovascular risk reduction in patients with hypertension

Follow these instructions while taking Atorva Gold 40 Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Take your medicine at the same time each day.

• Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule.

• You may take this medicine with or without food.

• If you have difficulty swallowing the capsule, consult your doctor.

• Keep taking this medicine regularly for it to work effectively.

• Store the capsules in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Atorva Gold 40 Capsule is taken orally.

Atorva Gold 40 Capsule contains three active ingredients that work together to protect your heart and blood vessels:

• Aspirin (75 mg): Acts as an antiplatelet agent by blocking an enzyme called cyclooxygenase, which reduces the production of thromboxane A2, a substance that causes platelets to stick together and form blood clots.

• Atorvastatin (40 mg): Functions as a cholesterol-lowering agent by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, the key enzyme involved in cholesterol production in your liver, thereby reducing total cholesterol, LDL (bad cholesterol), and triglycerides while slightly increasing HDL (good cholesterol) levels.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): Works as an antiplatelet medicine that prevents platelets from sticking together by blocking a specific receptor called P2Y12, which helps prevent the formation of harmful blood clots that could cause heart attacks or strokes.

• Store this medicine at room temperature (below 25°C) in its original packaging in a closed container protected from moisture and light away from sunlight.

• Keep out of reach and sight of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Follow a heart-healthy diet low in saturated fats and cholesterol to help manage cholesterol levels alongside your medicine. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins.

• Engage in regular moderate physical activity (at least 30 minutes, 5 days a week) to improve cardiovascular health and support the effectiveness of Atorva Gold 40 Capsule.
