CompositionZerodol CR Tablet is used to relieve long-lasting pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing aceclofenac 200mg in a controlled-release form, and belongs to a class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSAIDs).
This medicine is also used to relieve pain from soft tissue inflammation, such as around the shoulder joint (periarthritis) or tendon sheaths. The controlled-release tablet releases the medicine slowly, so it is usually taken once a day. Swallow it whole with food; do not crush or chew it. Take it at the lowest dose that works and for the shortest time needed.
Gentle, regular exercise, keeping a healthy weight and applying warm compresses to stiff joints can support joint health alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have had stomach ulcers or bleeding, heart disease or a stroke, high blood pressure, asthma, or liver or kidney disease, and about other medicines you take, including blood thinners and other painkillers. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical help if you notice black stools, vomiting of blood, chest pain or sudden weakness. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
