Zeptol CR 300 Tablet is used to control epilepsy and prevent seizures. It is a single-ingredient anticonvulsant containing carbamazepine.
It is also used to relieve severe nerve pain such as trigeminal neuralgia and to help manage bipolar disorder. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and do not change the dose on your own. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can trigger seizures.
Keep a regular routine with enough sleep and consistent meal times, and avoid alcohol, to support seizure control alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor about your medical conditions and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take, as carbamazepine interacts with many medicines. Report any skin rash straight away, as serious skin reactions can occur, and also report a sore throat, fever, easy bruising or yellowing of the skin. Your doctor may arrange blood tests. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
