CompositionZempred 16 Tablet is used to manage inflammatory, allergic and autoimmune conditions. It is a single-ingredient corticosteroid medicine containing methylprednisolone.
It is used in arthritis, lupus, severe allergies, asthma flare-ups and certain skin, blood and other disorders. Take it with food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it suddenly, as the dose usually needs to be reduced gradually.
Eat less salt (pickles, papad, packaged snacks) and fewer sweets, as steroids can cause fluid retention and raise blood sugar and blood pressure, and avoid close contact with people who have infections.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have any infection, diabetes, high blood pressure or stomach ulcers and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Longer use can affect blood sugar, bone strength and blood pressure. Report signs of infection or mood changes. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
