CompositionZempred 4 Tablet is used to treat a wide range of inflammatory, allergic and autoimmune conditions. It is a single-ingredient corticosteroid medicine containing methylprednisolone.
These include rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, severe skin disorders and inflammatory bowel disease. Take it with food, ideally in the morning, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Never stop it suddenly if used for more than a few days, as the dose has to be reduced gradually.
Eat a balanced diet with enough calcium and vitamin D (milk, curd, paneer) to protect bone density, and avoid close contact with people who have infections.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, severe infections or glaucoma and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report sudden mood changes or blurred vision to your doctor right away. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
