Vomikind Syrup is used in children to control nausea and vomiting caused by gastritis, gastroenteritis or other stomach upsets.
It contains ondansetron. It works by blocking serotonin, the chemical that triggers the vomiting reflex.
Give it strictly as directed by the doctor, and do not repeat a dose if vomiting occurs soon after taking it, unless advised.
Tell your doctor about any heart, liver or kidney problems, and all the child's medicines, before use, as ondansetron can rarely affect the heart rhythm. Contact your doctor for a fast or irregular heartbeat.
