Volix Trio 2 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus: This medicine helps to control high blood sugar levels in adults.

• Reducing postprandial glucose spikes: It can help lower rapid rises in blood sugar that happen after meals.

Follow these instructions while taking Volix Trio 2 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient amount of water.

• Do not split, crush, or chew the tablet.

Volix Trio 2 Tablet is taken orally.

Volix Trio 2 Tablet contains three active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): This sulfonylurea stimulates your pancreas to secrete more insulin, which helps lower your blood glucose levels. It also enhances your body's sensitivity to insulin, amplifying its effectiveness.

• Metformin Hydrochloride (500 mg): This biguanide works by reducing the production of glucose in your liver, increasing the uptake and use of glucose in your body's peripheral tissues, and enhancing your body's sensitivity to insulin. It is worth noting that when used alone, metformin doesn't lead to hypoglycaemia or low blood sugar.

• Voglibose (0.2 mg): As an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, voglibose slows down the breakdown and absorption of carbohydrates in your intestine, thus reducing the spike in blood glucose levels after meals.
