Lysiprin 500 Tablet is used to help control seizures in adults and children with epilepsy. It contains levetiracetam, an anti-epileptic medicine that helps reduce how often seizures occur, either on its own or together with other anti-epileptic medicines.
This tablet is usually swallowed whole with water, with or without food. Take it exactly as prescribed and do not stop taking it suddenly, even if you feel well, as this can trigger seizures; any change in dose should be made gradually under your doctor's guidance.
Getting enough sleep and avoiding known seizure triggers, such as excessive alcohol, flashing lights or extreme tiredness, can help keep seizures under control. Keeping a simple record of your seizures can help your doctor adjust your treatment if needed.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, a history of depression or mood changes, or if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report any new or worsening mood changes, unusual thoughts of self-harm, severe drowsiness or skin rash to your doctor promptly.
