Versames 1200 Tablet 10 is used to manage ulcerative colitis.

Uses of Versames 1200 Tablet 10 are:

Versames 1200 Tablet 10 contains mesalazine (1.2 g), which works on the body as follows:

• Local anti-inflammatory action: Mesalazine works directly in the colon where it reduces inflammation of the intestinal lining, providing relief from ulcerative colitis symptoms.

• Prostaglandin inhibition: It blocks the production of prostaglandins, which are substances that promote inflammation in the body, by suppressing an enzyme called cyclooxygenase.

• Leukotriene reduction: The medicine decreases the formation of leukotrienes, which are inflammatory compounds that contribute to the symptoms of ulcerative colitis.

• Targeted release: The tablet is specially designed to release the active ingredient specifically in the colon, where it's most needed, maximising its effectiveness at the site of inflammation.
