Vegaz OD Tablet is used to treat and manage ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease by reducing inflammation in the digestive tract, helping relieve symptoms and maintain periods of remission.

Uses of Vegaz OD Tablet are:

• Ulcerative Colitis: Reduces inflammation in the colon, easing stomach pain, loose motions (diarrhoea) and rectal bleeding.
• Crohn's Disease: Helps manage inflammation of the digestive tract associated with Crohn's ileocolitis.
• Remission Maintenance: Supports long-term control of symptoms and helps prevent flare-ups when taken regularly.

Take Vegaz OD Tablet in the following way: 

• Take it as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• It is advisable to take it at the same time each day to maintain the proper level of medication in the body. 
• Only alter the dosage or discontinue the medication after consulting your doctor.

Vegaz OD Tablet is taken orally.

Vegaz OD Tablet contains mesalazine (1.2 g), which works in the following ways:

• It blocks the production of certain substances that contribute to inflammation. By reducing inflammation, Vegaz OD Tablet helps relieve symptoms like diarrhoea, bleeding, and stomach pain.

• Store this tablet at room temperature 30ºC. 
• Protect it from light and moisture. 
• Keep it away from children. 
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• While taking this tablet, follow a low-residue diet to reduce irritation in the intestines. Focus on easily digestible foods like white rice, bananas, plain yoghurt, and well-cooked vegetables. Avoid high-fiber foods like whole grains, nuts, seeds, and raw fruits and vegetables during flare-ups.
• Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and support digestive health. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, spicy foods, and fatty meals, as they may worsen symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease. Gradually reintroduce foods once your symptoms improve, under your doctor’s guidance.
