Ticavue 90 Tablet 14

Ticavue 90 Tablet 14 is used for the following:

• Preventing blood clots in acute coronary syndrome

• Reducing risk after heart attacks and unstable angina

• Protection following angioplasty and stent placement

• Preventing future heart attacks

• Reducing the risk of stroke in heart attack patients

• Preventing blood vessel blockages

• Managing coronary artery disease with diabetes

• Supporting recovery after an ischaemic stroke

• Managing transient ischaemic attack (mini-stroke)

• Maintaining blood flow in cardiovascular conditions

Follow these instructions while taking Ticavue 90 Tablet 14:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet unless specifically advised by your doctor.

• Take the tablet at the same time each day as prescribed.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• If you have trouble swallowing tablets, consult your doctor for advice.

Ticavue 90 Tablet 14 is taken orally.

Ticavue 90 Tablet 14 contains ticagrelor (90 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Blocks P2Y12 receptors: Ticagrelor blocks specific receptors called P2Y12 on the surface of platelets, which are tiny blood cells involved in clotting.

• Inhibits platelet aggregation: By blocking these receptors, the medicine prevents platelets from sticking together, reducing the formation of harmful blood clots that could potentially block arteries.

• Helps maintain blood flow: This action helps maintain proper blood flow throughout your cardiovascular system, particularly through the arteries that supply blood to your heart and brain.

• Rapid antiplatelet effect: The medicine begins working within 30 minutes to 2 hours after you take it, providing relatively quick protection against unwanted blood clot formation.

• Store Ticavue 90 Tablet 14 at room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the tablets in their original packaging in a cool, dry place.

• Protect from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date regularly, and do not use it after this date.

• Consider a heart-healthy diet low in saturated fats and rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to support your cardiovascular health and complement the antiplatelet (blood-thinning) effects of Ticavue 90 Tablet 14.

• Limit sodium (salt) intake to help reduce the risk of blood clots and improve cardiovascular health.
