Ticarwick 90 Tablet is used to prevent heart attacks, strokes and other serious cardiovascular events in adults with acute coronary syndrome, coronary artery disease, or following stent placement. It is usually used alongside low-dose aspirin.
It contains ticagrelor (90 mg), a P2Y12 platelet inhibitor antiplatelet medicine. Take it as prescribed and do not stop it without medical advice, as stopping suddenly can increase the risk of heart attack.
Quitting smoking, eating a heart-healthy diet and keeping to all monitoring appointments support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, lung or breathing conditions or kidney problems before starting, and about other medicines you take. Report any unusual or prolonged bleeding immediately. Shortness of breath is a known side effect that is usually mild; tell your doctor if it concerns you.
