Ticarwick 90 Tablet is used to prevent heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular events in adults with acute coronary syndrome, coronary artery disease, or following stent placement.

Uses of Ticarwick 90 Tablet are:

• Acute Coronary Syndrome: Helps prevent heart attacks and cardiovascular death in ACS.
• Coronary Artery Disease: Reduces risk of further cardiovascular events in CAD.
• Post-Stent: Helps prevent blood clots and recurrent ischaemic events following stent placement.

When taking Ticarwick-90 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• For those unable to swallow, the tablet can be crushed, mixed with water, and consumed immediately. Ensure the entire dose is consumed by refilling the glass with water, stirring, and drinking again.

• Consistency is key - aim to take your medicine at the same times each day.

• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Avoid doubling up on doses to make up for a missed one. Always consult your doctor for specific advice.

Ticarwick-90 Tablet is taken orally.

Ticarwick-90 Tablet contains ticagrelor (90 mg), which acts on your body as follows:

• Inhibits Platelet Activation and Aggregation: Ticagrelor binds reversibly to the P2Y12 receptors on platelets, which prevents adenosine diphosphate (ADP) from activating these receptors. ADP is a substance that makes your blood platelets "sticky" and prone to clotting.

• Promotes Blood Flow: By reducing the "stickiness" of platelets and their ability to clump together, ticagrelor helps to maintain blood flow to the heart and brain. This action decreases the likelihood of an arterial blockage that could cause a heart attack or ischemic stroke.

• Keep Ticarwick-90 Tablet in its original package to shield it from moisture.

• Store at room temperature.

• Do not expose the medicine to excessive light or heat.

• Always keep Ticarwick-90 Tablet out of the reach of children.

• Make sure to use the medicine before the expiry date printed on the pack.

• To help manage Acute Coronary Syndrome (heart disease), consider a diet low in saturated fats and cholesterol to support heart health. This includes lean meats, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and whole grains.
