Texoplan 400mg Injection 1 is used for managing the following conditions:

Texoplan 400mg Injection 1 contains teicoplanin (400 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Inhibits Cell Wall Synthesis: Teicoplanin blocks a process that bacteria need to build their cell walls. It does this by binding to specific molecules called D-alanyl-D-alanine residues of peptidoglycan precursors. This stops these precursors from being incorporated into the bacterial cell wall.

• Causes Bacterial Cell Death: By disrupting the formation of peptidoglycan, an essential component of the bacterial cell wall, teicoplanin weakens the cell wall and ultimately leads to the death of the bacterial cells.

• Acts Against Gram-positive Bacteria: The activity of teicoplanin is mainly effective against both types of gram-positive bacteria - aerobic (which need oxygen to grow) and anaerobic (which can grow without oxygen).
