Urotone DS Tablet is used to manage urinary retention, a condition in which the bladder cannot be completely emptied, including retention after surgery, childbirth, or due to nerve-related bladder disorders.
It contains bethanechol, a cholinergic agonist that stimulates the bladder muscle to contract more effectively, helping it empty. Take it as prescribed, usually on an empty stomach, and swallow it whole.
Drinking fluids in moderate, regular amounts through the day and limiting caffeine can support healthy bladder function alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any asthma, stomach ulcers, heart problems, or urinary or intestinal blockage before starting, as this medicine is not suitable in these conditions. Report severe abdominal cramps, breathing difficulty, or a very slow heartbeat.
