Endace 40 Tablet 10

Endace-40 Tablet is used to treat advanced breast cancer and endometrial cancer. It helps slow the growth of hormone-dependent cancers, stimulates appetite in cancer patients, combats weight loss, and addresses hormonal imbalances, especially in advanced stages or AIDS-related conditions.

Follow these instructions while taking Endace-40 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day for the best results.

• You can take this tablet with or without food.

Endace-40 Tablet is taken orally.

Endace-40 Tablet contains megestrol (40 mg), which works in the following ways:

• Hormone receptor binding: Megestrol binds to progesterone receptors in the body, affecting hormonal balance and helping to slow the growth of hormone-dependent cancer cells.

• Gonadotropin suppression: This medicine inhibits the secretion of gonadotropin hormones from the pituitary gland, which subsequently reduces oestrogen production in the body.

• Appetite regulation: Megestrol influences the hypothalamus, the part of the brain that controls appetite, though the exact mechanism for appetite stimulation is not fully understood.

• Anti-tumour activity: The medicine helps slow the growth and spread of certain cancer cells that depend on specific hormones to grow.

• Store Endace-40 Tablet at room temperature (below 25°C).

• Protect from excessive heat and moisture.

• Store away from children's reach.

• Check the expiry date on the package, and do not use the medicine after this date.

• For patients with hormone-dependent cancers, consider including more plant-based foods in your diet, as they contain natural compounds that may help support hormonal balance.

• If you are taking Endace-40 Tablet for appetite stimulation, try eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day rather than three large meals to help manage weight loss.
