Dixin Tablet 10

Dixin Tablet is used for managing improvement of the heart's blood-pumping efficiency in cases of heart failure, and regulation of the heart rhythm and control of ventricular rate.

Uses of Dixin Tablet.25mg 10 are:

• Heart Failure: Improves the heart's blood-pumping efficiency.
• Irregular Heart Rhythm: Regulates heart rhythm and controls ventricular rate in certain arrhythmias.

Follow these steps when taking Dixin Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid crushing or chewing it.

• Try to take your medicine at the same time every day to help you remember.

• Never take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• If you feel that you need to stop the medicine, speak to your doctor first.

Dixin Tablet is taken orally.

Dixin Tablet contains Digoxin (0.25 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Inhibits Sodium-Potassium ATPase Pump: Digoxin blocks a pump in your heart cells that normally moves sodium out and potassium in. By inhibiting this pump, sodium levels inside the cells increase.

• Increases Intracellular Calcium Concentrations: The increased sodium inside the cells indirectly leads to an increase in calcium levels within the heart cells. This heightened calcium level strengthens the force of the heart's contractions, which helps improve the heart's efficiency in pumping blood.

• Slows Down Electrical Impulses Through AV Node: Digoxin slows the speed at which electrical impulses pass through the AV node in your heart. This helps control the heart's rhythm and reduces the rate at which the ventricles (the lower chambers of the heart) beat, particularly in conditions like atrial fibrillation and flutter.

• Store Dixin Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays 25°C.

• Protect it from light and keep it in its original packaging until needed.

• Ensure it's kept out of sight and reach of children.

• Remember to check the expiry date on the pack and don't take it if the date has passed.

• Since Dixin Tablet is used to manage heart conditions, you should adopt a low-sodium diet. Too much salt can make your condition worse by causing water retention, which puts extra strain on your heart.
