CompositionFloricot 100 mcg Tablet is used to replace the mineralocorticoid hormone in adults with Addison's disease and primary adrenal insufficiency, helping the kidneys retain the right amount of salt and water and maintain blood pressure. It is also used in certain cases of orthostatic hypotension.
It contains fludrocortisone 100mcg, a synthetic mineralocorticoid (not primarily a glucocorticoid). Take it as prescribed at the same time each day. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, body weight, and blood potassium levels is an important part of treatment.
