Targocid 400 mg Injection is a glycopeptide antibiotic used to treat serious Gram-positive bacterial infections, including infections caused by methicillin-resistant bacteria. It is used to treat bloodstream infections (septicaemia), endocarditis, bone and joint infections, pneumonia, and severe skin and soft tissue infections.
It contains teicoplanin. Teicoplanin works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. This medicine is administered by slow intravenous injection, intravenous infusion, or intramuscular injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

Inform your doctor if you have kidney impairment, hearing problems, or known allergies to glycopeptide antibiotics. Periodic kidney function tests and blood counts may be performed during treatment.
