Tendia M Forte Tablet consists of two active ingredients:

• Metformin hydrochloride (1000 mg): As a biguanide, metformin primarily works by decreasing hepatic glucose production. It also enhances insulin sensitivity, leading to increased peripheral glucose uptake, boosts fatty acid oxidation, and reduces absorption of glucose from the gastrointestinal tract.

• Teneligliptin hydrobromide hydrate (20 mg): Classified as a DPP-4 inhibitor, teneligliptin works by slowing down the inactivation of incretin hormones GLP-1 and GIP. This leads to increased concentrations of these hormones in the bloodstream. As a result, insulin is released from pancreatic beta cells in a glucose-dependent manner while glucagon secretion from pancreatic alpha cells decreases, effectively reducing blood glucose levels.
