Dynaglipt-M Forte Tablet has two active components, metformin and teneligliptin which act the body in the following way:
Metformin (1000 mg): This active ingredient works by reducing glucose production in the liver and decreasing intestinal glucose absorption. Additionally, it improves insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilisation. This process enhances the body's natural response to insulin.
Teneligliptin (20 mg): This is a DPP-4 inhibitor that works by stabilising incretin hormones GLP-1 and GIP, which are essential in controlling blood sugar levels after meals. By keeping these hormones stable, teneligliptin increases insulin production when blood sugar is high and reduces glucagon levels, thereby helping lower blood glucose.
Together, these two ingredients provide significant reduction in blood glucose throughout the day compared to when each is used separately in monotherapy.
