TELKONOL BS 2.5 TABLET 10 is used to manage essential high blood pressure in adults and to lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes. It reduces the heart's workload and supports better blood-vessel function, and is a useful option for people who cannot tolerate ACE inhibitors.

TELKONOL BS 2.5 TABLET 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Bisoprolol (2.5 mg): This is a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker that reduces heart rate and decreases the force of heart contractions. By doing so, it lowers cardiac output and reduces the workload on your heart, helping to bring down blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This component blocks the effects of a hormone called angiotensin II by binding to specific receptors (AT1 receptors) in your body. This action causes blood vessels to widen (vasodilation), reduces resistance in blood vessels, and decreases blood pressure.

• Keep TELKONOL BS 2.5 TABLET 10 in its original packaging at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Discard any unused medicine properly.

• Reduce your salt intake to help manage hypertension (high blood pressure). Aim for less than 5g of salt per day by avoiding processed foods and not adding extra salt to meals.

• Engage in regular aerobic exercise, such as brisk walking, for at least 30 minutes daily to help naturally lower your blood pressure and improve cardiovascular health.
