Telista CL Tablet is a combination medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It is prescribed when blood pressure is not adequately controlled by single-ingredient therapy, helping to safeguard the heart, brain, and kidneys against long-term complications such as stroke and heart attack.
It contains cilnidipine and telmisartan, which belong to the calcium channel blocker and angiotensin II receptor blocker medicine classes. Take it orally as prescribed with or without food, and swallow the tablet whole with water. Continue taking it continuously as advised, even if your blood pressure readings normalise, as high blood pressure rarely displays noticeable symptoms.
Lifestyle measures form a key pillar of hypertension management. These include consuming a salt-restricted diet, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising regularly, avoiding smoking, and limiting alcohol intake as advised by your doctor.
Inform your doctor before starting treatment if you have liver or kidney problems, low blood pressure, or heart disease. It must not be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Regular medical reviews may be recommended to track your blood pressure and kidney function.
