Telekast-L Kid Syrup is a combination medicine used in young children to manage symptoms of allergic rhinitis and mild asthma. It helps relieve allergic symptoms such as a runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, itching, and nasal congestion, while improving breathing comfort.
It contains montelukast and levocetirizine. Montelukast blocks inflammatory substances in the airways, while levocetirizine stops the action of histamine responsible for allergic reactions. Give the syrup to your child as prescribed by the doctor, preferably at the same time each day for consistent allergy control.
Keeping your child away from known environmental allergens, such as dust, pollen, pet fur, and strong smoke, helps reduce allergic flare-ups. Ensure your child drinks adequate liquids to stay hydrated.
Before giving this medicine, inform your paediatrician if your child has any kidney issues, liver problems, or pre-existing medical conditions. Report any unusual mood changes, persistent drowsiness, or side effects to your doctor promptly.
