Tamfil Capsuleis used to manage the urinary symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), an enlarged prostate gland, in adult men. It helps relax the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow and reducing the frequent or urgent need to urinate.
It contains tamsulosin and belongs to a group of medicines called alpha-1 blockers. Take it with food as prescribed and swallow the capsule whole without crushing or chewing. Continue taking it as prescribed, even when symptoms improve, as stopping may allow urinary symptoms to return.
Avoid sudden changes in position, such as standing up quickly, particularly in the early stages of treatment, as this medicine can cause dizziness and a sudden drop in blood pressure. Take care when driving or operating machinery if dizziness occurs.
Tell your doctor before starting if you have kidney or liver problems, low blood pressure, or are scheduled for cataract eye surgery. Report any severe dizziness, fainting, or problems with ejaculation to your doctor right away.
